Description

We will border the Gutierrez and Mascardi lakes along route 40. We will turn off at the entrance to the road that leads to Cerro Tronador. First we will visit the imposing Cascada los Alerces, a 20-meter high waterfall on the Manso River, near Lake Hess. The waterfall can be seen from a wide viewpoint, surrounded by tall Coihues and walls with ferns and mosses. There are specimens of Alerce trees, hence the name of the waterfall. Then we will cross the Manso River to Pampa Linda to see the imposing Cerro Tronador and its glaciers. We will visit the Ventisquero Negro and the base of the mountain.

Hours: from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
